Half Marathon Done! 

Hello! Today it is Tuesday and on Sunday I ran my first half marathon race with 2 of my cousins. We did it in 2 hours and 24 mins and 56 seconds. I got a nice medal and a capri sun out of it. I don’t really know what to say about this right now because I’ve been thinking about it for so long now, and I’m really hopped up on caffeine right now (it was an accident, but I’m still shaking) and I’ve just had some crazy news from one of my friends (Sophie I’m talking to YOU). 

So as you know I didn’t really think I could do this half marathon and didn’t think it would go well. I even looked into refunding my place (and apologising to my cousins…) but clearly I did want to do it because I didn’t actually go ahead with cancelling it. 

• We got there and it was cold 
• We started running right at the back ]
• Cousins ran slow so I could keep up :) 
• We maintained the pace we wanted for most of it 
• I hit the wall at 15km and took a gel but it was probably too late
• My lovely bf and my mum also came to the race to cheer us on. Also gma was the backbone of this race for driving us there. 
• We finished the race 
• I was so hurting 
• I’m still hurting 
• I am so proud of myself and grateful for my cousins plodding along with me. I want to do another one.
