I didn’t realise it had been a whole week since I had posted. Apologies to my loyal fan. Last week was a busy week but I managed to get everything done which I am happy with. On Monday I completed a 30 MINUTE EASY RUN, followed by my first strength + conditioning workout on Tuesday, which I did from home. From Tuesday 2pm - Thursday 2pm I completed my second and final exam! I don’t think it was my best quality at all but I didn’t sacrifice my health or sleep for it which is a marked change from every other 48h exam I’ve done at university. I think this was my last one too! On Friday, I took my exam holiday too far and tried to interval run on half a slice of toast… at 3pm… not my most genius moment. I skipped a strength and conditioning workout but completed my first 90 minute run, which, aside from the cold, felt good! It definitely helped seeing you every 30 minutes and it was a valuable lesson in MANAGING THE COLD which ruined everything for a good hour.
I have since ordered some running gloves and warmer clothes (think longsleeve top, colourful ish leggings) so I should be ok for the rest of winter. I also ordered a swimsuit which I am hoping fits me better than my other one, as I would like to start swimming regularly (like once a week, realistically) and take advantage of my gym membership more. My housemates have not been convinced yet to join my gym so it’s looking like I will have to go to classes on my own if I really want to. Maybe next week as I have nothing on… I probably won’t. I don’t know exactly what I’m going to do with this newfound spare time as I can’t really just practice for 10 hours a day (if only).
For next week I’m going to prioritse eating nice food and sleeping well on top of my exercising which I think will be doable. ALSO I have signed up for my first half marathon race which is on February 16th! I need to complete it in under 3 hours which is a little bit of stress but doing that will make me feel better about a marathon in under 6…
I have had the most lovely weekend of the year so far. Love you xx
